What? Like the back of a Volkswagen?

A few weeks ago I saw an Amber alert and I wondered if I should drive around looking for the car.  It’s been nagging at me ever since.  It finally hit me last night when I woke up to go to the bathroom.  I have fucking magic.  Of course I should do something.

To make myself feel better about not having done something before, I looked at the local news.  There was an item about a missing woman.  Because there’s always a missing woman.  I did my finding spell and it was an immediate bingo.  I get up to pee and five minutes later I’m driving through the night on a rescue mission.  My life is boring a lot of the time.  Sometimes it’s like this.

My spell led me to a trailer park and a double wide that looked pretty nice.  I’ve seen online that trailer parks aren’t cheap anymore.  “They” said that management companies have been buying up all the trailer parks and then jacking up the rent to get people out of there so they can sell the land to developers.  I wonder if that’s true.

I still haven’t figured out what to do in these situations.  I fell back on my old stand-by of knocking on the door.  It doesn’t work great historically but I have no other ideas developed yet.  Someday I’m going to get shot through a peephole.  If I survive, maybe I’ll learn my lesson.

There was no answer so I busted the lock and went in.  It was pretty nice on the inside.  I wonder how much a nice double wide costs.  There was a huge old tube TV and some rattan chairs that looked like patio furniture.  That was about it.  Didn’t seem like a place anyone spent a lot of time, but it didn’t seem abandoned.

No one was home but my spell was saying that was the place, so I looked around for hidden panels or some place you would stash a living woman.  Or a dead body.  I did find a hatch in the closet.  Since a trailer doesn’t have an attic, I assumed that it opened up to the roof.

It did not.

Like at all.
