Calm > storm

It’s a bit strange driving up to a flea market for a show in an expensive vehicle.  Even if it is the largest outdoor weekly April-Oct flea market in Central Wisconsin.

I should sell it and buy a Transit van for 20k and throw a sleeping bag in the back.  But I’m not going to.  And only 30% of the reason is that I wouldn’t know what to do with a bunch of money in the bank.  Would I keep wrestling for sixty bucks a pop?  If not, what would I do?

Stew was on the show and we spent a couple hours checking out the flea market.  It’s a pretty interesting mix of garbage, neat old stuff, and good old fashioned weirdness – like a bunch of cut in half skateboards for 50 cents apiece.  I got a little uncomfortable when Stew spent 45 minutes looking at “vintage” porn but we held hands and then later we made out in my van.  Which was nice.

I’ve never done that before.  I should probably feel like a loser for that being true at my age, but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

I worked Little Junior Toro and we had another great match.  After the show, we hung out and drank beer and talked wrestling and life on the road.  Junior has some pretty funny stories about his wife busting his balls about his career choice.  It’s not funny when you think about how shitty it probably is for the wife to be married to a wrestler, but when you’re a few beers deep you don’t think about that.

All in all it was a great day.  Maybe the best day I’ve had.  It was a nice day to have before I head south to be killed by Mexican werewolves.
